TMG
Dear Crossroads Family,
A few reminders …. Thanks for your prayer and involvement in the work God is doing in people’s lives at Crossroads!
This Sunday
We’ll have worship at 10:00 Sunday morning at the Community Center, 200 N. Ash Street. Please use the doors on the southeast corner of the building (nearest to the library). They lead directly into the classroom wing of the building where we’ll meet for worship.
We’ll enjoy a carry-in Thanksgiving dinner following worship. Plan to join us and bring a friend if you can! If you haven’t signed up to bring food and would like to, please contact Michaela. Thank you!
Community Thanksgiving Service
A community-wide Thanksgiving worship service is planned for this coming Monday night, November 22, at 6:00 at Nevada Assembly of God. You’re invited to join others in worship and prayer Monday evening. An offering will be taken up that is used for the ministry of the Nevada Ministerial Alliance.
Crossroads Youth Group
Our group for high school and post-high school young people is going to get together next on Wednesday, December 1, for a post-Thanksgiving Friendsgiving event at the Rods, *contact us for location*. Plan to come around 6:30 and bring a friend!
Beautiful Music
If you’re free this Sunday afternoon and/or Monday evening, the vocal and instrumental music students at Cottey will be performing at their end-of-semester recitals which are open to the public. There will be different performers at each recital … and one of your favorite piano players both nights! You will enjoy the wide variety of music and the results of much hard work on the part of these students. Sunday at 3 pm, and Monday at 7 pm, in the Missouri Recital Hall on the Cottey campus.
Thanksgiving Prayers
Praise to you, O faithful God!
You never fail those who trust in you,
but you allow them to share in your glory.
You fight for us against everything
that could attack or do us harm.
You are our shepherd,
and you free us from the snare.
You protect us who honor you, O God;
great is the sweetness that you give.
You have carried me through all my wanderings and loved me through my rebellion.
I praise you.
You have given me untold riches:
friends to love,
beauty to enjoy,
quiet spaces.
I praise you for life on this planet,
for trust between people,
and the unimaginable gift of the Gospel.
Keep me thankful all my days, that, against all the odds, I my never lose sight of hope and delight.
I hope to see you this Sunday morning at 10 at the Community Center!
