Hello, Crossroads Family,
We’ll meet for worship this Sunday morning at Riverside Cowboy Church, 16001 S. 1250 Road, at 10:00. Pastor Jerry Carlin will bring the message from God’s Word. Jerry is a Church-Health Coach for Evangelical Free Churches in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. You’ll be blessed by Jerry’s ministry, and I encourage you to take time to interact with him while he’s here.
Please pray…
We are working on details for moving our Sunday morning worship to the Fellowship Hall at Nevada Assembly of God, at the Highland Avenue exit off I-49. Please pray for that church’s board, and for our Elder Board, as we work through an agreement that will be mutually satisfactory and acceptable. Pastors Mickey and Robin have been very generous in offering this space to us; they would love to have Crossroads be present in their building for our worship and other activities.
Some advantages and inconveniences for us:
— We would have a “permanent” meeting place for the time being — heated, comfortable, with an easy entry, indoor plumbing(!), access to a large kitchen, and space for our children. Tables and chairs are available to us.
— We could leave our equipment set up during the week — no more transporting back and forth; no major setting up and tearing down each week.
— The Assembly is offering us storage space for our belongings that are currently stored in Shane and Angi’s barn.
— The space would be available to us for other meetings or activities during the week.
— We would have a chance to get to know another body of believers serving the Lord in Nevada. I have very much enjoyed getting to know Pastors Mickey and Robin; we are currently part of a small group of pastors and wives praying together every Thursday morning.
As far as inconveniences:
— We would need to move our worship service to a later starting time.
— All our children’s workers will need to have proof of a background check (which we should have anyway).
Thank you for praying. The leadership of the Assembly of God is actually meeting today to draw up the paperwork. Please ask God for wisdom for them and for our Crossroads leadership. Thank you!
