TMG
Come have a great start to the new week this Sunday morning as we meet for worship!
10:00 at Riverside Cowboy Church, 16001 S 1250 Road.
Due to a camp that’s using the property this weekend (finishing up on Sunday morning), there’s a possibility we may meet indoors in the Cowboy worship building located across from the house as you first arrive on the property. Watch for one of our set-up team giving directions, or look for our cars as you arrive. If you don’t see anyone, continue on down to the outdoor pavilion where we’ve met the past three weeks.
Can’t wait to see you there ! I enjoy the special peace and opportunity to re-focus that comes through our Sunday morning worship. Our worship of God is important, as is the re-connecting with our spiritual family after a busy week. We need the encouragement and the accountability.
This Sunday’s sermon will be the last in our series from the Evangelical Free Church Statement of Faith. It’s an important one : What do we believe about a person’s eternal destiny? Come ready for good news and needed challenge from God’s Word!
In October, we’ll be into our “You Asked For It” series. The four sermons you asked for are the following:
- Is it true that Christians shouldn’t judge?
- How do we “encourage ourselves” in the Lord (such as the Bible says David did in 1 Samuel 30:6)?
- How do we find God’s way for our lives as life moves on?
- Does God use Satan to accomplish certain purposes in our lives?
Wow, interesting topics! I think only the unique group that Crossroads Church is could come up with these relevant, interesting, and challenging sermon topics.
Don’t forget that a recording of the sermon is available each weekend on Facebook by Saturday evening. Previous sermons can be accessed through Facebook as well.
Home Group Off to a Great Start!
We had a good time at our first Home Group session last Sunday night. I hope you’ll join us this coming Sunday whether or not you were with us the first week! We’re learning and being challenged by Louie Giglio’s video series called “Goliath Must Fall.”
Sunday night, 6 pm, at my house, 628 W. Arch Street — Come on in through the garage door on Spring Street.
On the Crossroads website (www.nevadacrossroadschurch.org), you’ll find a summary of last week’s small-group discussion. Just click on the “Goliath Must Fall” icon on the homepage.
Continued Prayer
We rejoice that Angi is feeling better. Others in the church family are dealing with illness and physical ailments, both personally and in their extended families. Some are traveling and spending time with family this week. Others are transitioning in jobs. Thanks for lifting each other up in prayer as God brings members of the Crossroads family to your mind.
Jessica is especially in need of our prayers as she seeks to minister to her grandfather and mother, and now her uncle is experiencing some physical issues that appear to be serious. Let’s ask God for the grace, strength, and help needed. Let’s be a help as God allows us to.
Please pray for our church elders as they anticipate meeting on October 3.
In these challenging times, we need a close walk with Jesus more than ever. I look forward to seeing you Sunday and leaning into that relationship with you.
