TMG
Hello, Crossroads Family!
I look forward to us gathering for worship this coming Sunday morning, 10:00, in the covered pavilion at Riverside Cowboy Church. The address for Riverside is 16001 S. 1250 Road. A few things to remember:
- Turn right when you reach the property, and follow the gravel road through the gate (alongside the power lines).
- Keep going until the gravel road ends and you see us in the pavilion. (If you’ve never been before, you’ll think you’re going too far! You’re not!)
- Park as close to the pavilion as you need to.
- There are indoor restroom facilities next to the pavilion.
- No need to bring a lawn chair — there are comfortable chairs provided.
- There will be nursery and children’s care provided for ages 0-10.
We had a sweet time of worship last Sunday surrounded by God’s creation and critters! I’m looking forward to another special time together this Sunday … starting at 10:00. Thanks for praying in advance for our service. I anticipate God will minister to us and that we will have opportunities to minister encouragement to each other!
If you can’t be with us in person this Sunday, the sermon is normally posted on the Crossroads Facebook page by Saturday evening.
New Home Group Starts Sunday, September 19
Sign up this Sunday, or let me know if you’d like to be part of the 6-week Home Group that will start at my house on September 19 at 6 pm. We’ll be going through a video study by Louie Giglio called “Goliath Must Fall.” We’ll watch a short video, will follow up with discussion, and we’ll enjoy some prayer support and fellowship too! I would love to have you be a part of the group for as many of the sessions as you can!
Here’s how the creators of this study describe “Goliath Must Fall”:
It’s likely you have a giant in your life … an adversary that’s diminishing your ability to live a full life. Frozen in the grip of rejection, fear, anger, comfort, or addiction, you’ve lost sight of God’s promise for you and have settled for less than his best. In this six-session video Bible study, Pastor Louie Giglio uncovers a new-found twist in the story of David and Goliath. He shows how living free from our giants is not better slingshot accuracy but keeping our eyes on the only giant-slayer: Jesus. Put your hope in him, and watch Goliath fall.
A Life-Giving Church
How are we doing on being a life-giving church? Would you keep in mind those four qualities shared by Todd Brooks, our E-Free Central District Associate Superintendent? These can be specific areas of prayer for ourselves as the people of Crossroads Church.
- Gospel Clarity
- Boldness
- Compassion
- Humility
How are we doing so far this week in these areas? How can we do better?
What are you celebrating about your walk with the Lord this week? How can we as a church lean in and pray with you?
See you Sunday, 10 am, outdoors at Riverside Cowboy Church!
